Overview
The Surgical Assessment Unit at Ipswich Hospital are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us as a Clinical Support Technician. You will become part of our friendly and well-established Clinical Support Technician Team, providing excellent support to our medical and nursing staff to facilitate patient flow through the surgical assessment unit and surgical division at Ipswich Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Support registered nurses in delivering high quality patient care, including assisting patients with activities of daily living in accordance with their plan of care.
* Assist with clinical procedures and the preparation of patients and equipment.
* Develop and deliver clinical care, learn the clinical skills required to undertake procedures such as venepuncture.
* Be a member of the core Cardiac Arrest Team and attend cardiac arrests and emergency situations.
* Work well in a team and be flexible according to the day-to-day needs of the service.
* Work a variety of shifts including weekends and nights; overnight duties are to the site matron.
Qualifications / Skills
* Excellent communication skills and motivation to develop skills and career within clinical care.
* Ability to learn clinical skills and undertake a range of procedures to support patient care.
* Willingness to contribute to improvements in services for the population of Ipswich and surrounding area.
* Team player with flexibility and adaptability to meet service needs.
