What We Are Looking For
Degree (or near completion) in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Management, Fire Ecology, Forestry, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of bushfire behaviour, ecological processes, and land management.
Knowledge of or interest in bushfire principles, vegetation types or NSW bushfire regulations.
A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
Desired Skills & Experience
Supporting bushfire risk management, forestry, and land-management projects.
Contributing to Bushfire Risk Assessments, Bushfire Management Plans (BMPs), hazard-reduction strategies and strategic studies.
Assisting with site and vegetation assessments for performance solutions.
Supporting design and implementation of hazard-reduction measures.
Exposure to the full project lifecycle—from planning through delivery.
Developing practical solutions for key NSW clients and collaborating with the wider Natural Resources team.
