**The Role**:
If you are passionate about mixed farming and have a keen interest in sheep and animal husbandry this is the role for you. You will be working with members of a farming family. Predominantly your tasks will be in the sheep operation however from time to time you will be required to assist with the cropping side of things. This will encompass a role that aids the logistics of machinery and equipment, in addition to the organisation of supplies. Throughout the year further need for heavy machinery operation will occur. Particularly in busy time periods along with general farm machinery and equipment operation and maintenance.
Your day-to-day tasks will include participation in but are not limited to;
- Livestock movements
- Yard work
- Drenching and jetting
- Shearing and crutching
- Lamb/calf marking and weaning
- Maintenance
- Fencing
- Weed control
**The Property & Employer**:
This family-owned and operated enterprise stretches over 5,000ha across two properties at Cootamundra and Wyalong. Predominantly sheep focused, running 7,000 fine wool Merino breeding ewes plus followers. They have developed sustainable goals and breeding objectives to continually reach high productivity from their flock. Sheep contracting services are engaged. This enterprise also runs a small self-replacing herd of approximately 100 Hereford cows. Productive cereal cropping and pasture plans are maintained by a full contract model across both locations, Wyalong is total cropping.

**The offer***:
The property is centrally located 10 km from the village of Stockinbingal, 20km from Cootamundra and 30km from Temora. The area offers easy access to a variety of facilities and recreational opportunities. The successful applicant will receive the above award wages appropriate to the skill set, along with applicable allowances. A work vehicle will be provided on the farm.

- Willing to work weekends in busy times such as shearing and harvest
- Has welding ability and mechanical knowhow
- Working Dogs (desirable but not essential)
- Holds an MC license (desirable)
- Chemical handlers accreditation (desirable)
A Drivers license is essential for this role.
