The Role
As a Field Operator, you will support the Parent Seed program by managing crop establishment, purity, and harvest across a wide variety of trial crops including sorghum, sunflower, maize, canola, and sweet corn. Your main responsibilities will include:
 * Operate precision farming equipment for planting, spraying, harvesting & more
 * Support hybrid seed production with technical & agronomic field work
 * Maintain crop purity and trial integrity across seasonal operations
 * Liaise with agronomists and internal stakeholders on crop scheduling
 * Supervise, train, and coordinate seasonal labour teams
 * Ensure all machinery is calibrated, maintained, and safe
 * Travel regionally to various trial and production sites as required
Skills & Experience
 * Basic agronomy knowledge relevant to seed production
 * Flexibility to travel and adapt to seasonal workload shifts
 * Experience operating agricultural machinery (tractors, sprayers, planters)
 * Ability to lead and supervise casual field teams
 * HR Truck Licence and Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
