Our QLD Government client is currently seeking a Capability Lead - Process and Forms Automation to join their organisation. In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of automation strategies to enhance efficiency and innovation within the organisation.
You will drive the identification and delivery of automation initiatives that streamline operations, improve service delivery, and solidify our technological advancement. You will manage the end-to-end automation lifecycle, ensure continuous enhancement, and promote a culture of quality and productivity. You will build strong collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and service delivery partners, ensuring that automation solutions are high impact and meet industry's best practices for security and compliance.
What you will do:
* Design and implement an automation roadmap that aligns with business needs and organisational strategic objectives.
* Devise robust policies for managing automation-related risks and ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Stay up-to-date with current and upcoming regulations and technological trends in the realms of RPA, AI, and ML, and adjust the organisational automation framework as necessary.
* Oversee the adherence to legal, privacy, and security guidelines within all automation projects, safeguarding data integrity and customer trust.
* Lead initiatives to enhance organisational understanding and adoption of automation tools by conducting training and developing resources to increase proficiency across departments.
* Collaborate with data management teams to ensure that data fed into automation and AI systems is clean, accurate, and reliable, securing dependable outcomes from automated processes.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate transparent communication on automation strategies, gauge effectiveness, and drive continuous improvements in line with business objectives.
What you'll bring to the role:
* A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, with a preference for an advanced degree in one of these areas.
* Relevant professional certifications in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) such as UiPath Certified Professional, and in AI or ML technologies.
* At least 5 years of professional experience in technology roles, with a minimum of 5 years specialising in automation, including leadership in deployment and management of RPA and AI/ML solutions.
* In-depth technical knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Power Automate), scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and AI/ML integration.
* Demonstrated experience with data analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI, API integration, and NLP techniques, and familiarity with OCR technologies.
* Proficiency in Agile project management principles, with strong skills in strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and achieving project deliverables.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to make data-driven decisions and articulate automation strategies effectively.
