Strategic Sourcing Lead
The Strategic Sourcing Lead will drive the development and execution of sourcing strategies across multiple categories. This role focuses on delivering cost savings, enhancing supplier performance, and supporting the company's overall procurement objectives.
This position requires advanced analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and strong influencing skills. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing end-to-end sourcing strategies that align with the organisation's long-term objectives, driving cost savings, quality, efficiency, and value;
* Executing formal RFPs, evaluating bids, and presenting award recommendations to stakeholders;
* Identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation and strategic spend management;
* Building and maintaining strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers;
* Maintaining strong communication with stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, and product development to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with business needs.
* Providing guidance and category-specific insights to internal teams;
* Collaborating with leadership to identify skill development opportunities for self and team;
* Acting as a thought leader within the sourcing function;
* Leading market intelligence efforts to identify industry trends, benchmark pricing, evaluate new suppliers, and uncover innovation opportunities;
* Proactively assessing supply chain risks and developing mitigation strategies;
* Evaluating contract terms and conditions, negotiating contract extensions, or renegotiating existing agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards;
* Defining and monitoring KPIs for supplier performance and internal sourcing processes to support continuous improvement;
* Collaborating with other departments to achieve shared goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, 10+ years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, proven ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives and global supplier engagements, and knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier management, contract law, and cost analysis.
