As the Meat Manager, you will be responsible for the successful operation of your department within this busy supermarket. You will be responsible for leading and developing a small team, ensuring the highest quality of goods are being presented, deliver a high level of customer service, achieve sales target, financial management and ensure a health and safety standards are meet.
Skills & Experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified butcher is essential
Previous experience in leading teams
The ability to train and develop staff
Have a solid understanding of butcher retailing
Control department costs such as wastage, wages and other operational costs
Understanding of local market and seasonal trends
Understand food safety standards and hold a Food Handling Certificate
Have the ability to work in a fast paced setting
