OverviewSenior Social Worker (Level 4) - Assertive Community Management - Drug Health ServicesEmployment Type: Temporary Full Time; 38 hours per week up to June 2026Position Classification: Social Worker Level 4Remuneration: $2,331.57 - $2,388.08 per week + Annual leave loading + SuperannuationLocation: Royal Prince Alfred HospitalRequisition ID: REQ603911About the RoleDrug Health Services (DHS) aims to reduce the harms associated with substance use for individuals, families and communities and to prevent drug misuse.
Our Mission is to deliver evidence based and patient centred care in collaboration with other health and non-health partners to improve the health outcomes of individuals, their families and broader community.
Services are provided at Canterbury, Concord Repatriation General and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and at Canterbury, Marrickville and Redfern Health Centres.
Selected programs offer services in community and via approved outreach arrangements.In this role, you will provide senior clinical leadership and team management within the Social Work Department.
You will also support the mentoring and development of staff and carries a clinical caseload.For more information, please view the Position Description.ResponsibilitiesProvide senior clinical leadership and team management within the Social Work Department.
You will also support the mentoring and development of staff and carries a clinical caseload.Support the delivery of services in Drug Health Services to reduce harms associated with substance use and improve health outcomes for individuals, families and communities.Collaborate with other health and non-health partners to deliver evidence based, patient centred care and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Engage in service planning, implementation and evaluation of program activities with a focus on evidence based practice and research.Ideal Candidate / QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Social Work services.Experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Experience and ability to identify opportunities and innovatively lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery incorporating continuous improvement, evidence based practice and research.BenefitsAllocated Day Off each month, paid Parental Leave & Annual Leave loading.Opportunity for extra tax savings through Salary Packaging and Novated Leasing.Access to free courses, qualifications and coaching via Sydney Education.Monthly one-to-one clinical supervision.
