The Role: As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services, the Clinical Nurse Specialist - Adult and Community Mental Health:
Acts as a clinical expert and resource for nursing, medical, and allied health staff in managing consumers with complex mental health needs. Provides case management to consumers with complex needs, including carer education and collaboration with GPs and other service providers. Offers orientation, supervision, and support to team nurses and coordinates student nurse placements. You will need: Extensive experience in clinical nursing practice, with at least five years post-graduate experience in Mental Health settings. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act and Work Health and Safety Act. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Details of appointment: Permanent full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation contribution.
Salary range according to Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Additional allowances may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Salary Packaging: Access to salary package various benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year.
Benefits available to eligible candidates: Payment of $15,000 staged over three years for Nurses and Midwives who relocate to Tasmania and remain employed full-time. Essential Criteria: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess a specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health qualification.
Current Driver's Licence.
Desirable Criteria: Extensive psychiatric nursing experience and/or credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse.
Holds or is working towards relevant tertiary qualifications.
