**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Our Rhythm Management training team is made up of passionate and dedicated professionals who support the delivery of the most advanced medical technologies to patients in need to ensure patients of Boston Scientific achieve the best possible outcomes. Through active engagement and education of the sales team, including onboarding and continuous education, you enable the team to collaborate extensively with leading healthcare professionals which have an impact on individual lives - one patient at a time.
The Training Specialist (TS) is responsible for leading the training for the Rhythm Management team. This includes ensuring our team are trained utilising the curriculum, resources and tools for the Cardiac Rhythm Management new hire training program, as well as delivering classroom and workshop training (virtual and face-to-face). The TS works with marketing and sales to develop and deliver new product training to the field. In addition, monitoring and evaluating employee product and clinical training needs ensures the ongoing development of employees' ability to meet customer and product technology demands of Rhythm Management.
This role reports to Marketing Manager, Cardiac Rhythm Management.
**WHAT WILL YOU BE REPONSIBLE FOR?**
**Core responsibilities**:
- Program Development and Delivery
- Leading the development of robust and efficient product training and education programs aligned with the CRM certification program as well as ANZ organisational goals.
- Leading the planning, implementation and execution of core training sessions and workshops (and their supporting learning management platforms) including (but not limited to):
- Pinnacle III
- DISCOVER
- ANZ RM Advance Training & New Product training programs
- Clinical Application Labs (CALs)
- Facilitation and delivery of classroom and online program content to training program participants, ensuring training is delivered as per planned process and schedule
- Regularly coordinating with program participants, field staff and other departments to solicit feedback on training effectiveness and ensure program suitability
- Establishing relationships across the Boston Scientific global CRM training network, as well as with external vendors, to benchmark and ensure course content, structure and delivery remains relevant.
- Investigating effectiveness of delivery platforms available (online, virtual etc) and making recommendations for alternative delivery methods that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of CRM training in ANZ
- Partners with Marketing and Sales on new product launches to develop and deliver new product training to the field.
**Employee Training Assessment and Evaluation**
- Establish a process to evaluate product training needs of CRM employees by assessing employee's knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) against needs of job. Identifying KSA gaps where training is a solution to ensure on-going development of employees' ability to meet customer and product technology demands. Makes recommendations to Business Unit leadership and Human Resources based on evaluation.
- Facilitating Clinical Application Labs (CAL's) to assess field readiness for trainees. This includes designing and facilitating the assessment and providing constructive feedback on strengths and areas for development
- Partnering with Field Sales Managers and Regional Managers to monitor new hire progression throughout training and provides recommendations for completion
- Ensuring new employee participation and progress is tracked to support ongoing development throughout the training cycle.
- Escalates concerns regarding participant's progress and skill attainment
**Secondary responsibilities**:
**Customer Training**
- Co-coordination and participation in Rhythm Management customer training programs, teaching technical workshops and supporting in-house customer programs.
- Providing assistance in planned customer education events by educating customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of CRM products through educational presentations and demonstrations using appropriate formats and platforms (e.g., slides, manuals, simulators).
**Application**:
**Clinical Support**
- Act as a back-up resource in providing scheduled and on call clinical support to the CRM team as required. This may also include ad hoc support out of business hours.
**Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, customers, contractors etc
- Raise safety concerns and action safety issues in accordance with polices.
**General**:
- Undertakes all other duties and projects within Rhythm Management as may be assigned from time to time
