Sales Estimator
We are seeking a motivated Sales Estimator to join our team. As a Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotes, and working closely with internal teams for smooth delivery.
About the Role:
You will report to the Senior Sales Estimator and work on managing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage inbound customer enquiries via phone and email with a focus on service and sales conversion.
* Prepare, submit, and follow up on customer quotes.
* Process and manage orders using software.
* Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
* Work with the Senior Sales Estimator and Operations Manager to ensure efficient production.
* Identify opportunities to grow accounts and support new business development.
Requirements:
* Proven sales and customer service experience in the steel processing industry (essential).
* Experience in Plasma Sales (essential).
* Knowledge of nesting software – Primecut experience highly regarded.
* 2D CAD skills – ability to draw from hand sketches and PDF drawings.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
