About the Position
This Casual Cook role involves providing comfort food for up to 30 residents in the evening meal. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 3:30pm-7:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation and service of meals to residents
* Carrying out duties in accordance with safety policy, safety principles, corporate values and strategies
* Ensuring that adequate supplies of foodstuffs are properly protected and conserved
* Ensuring the kitchen meets the requirements of the Australian Food Safety Assessment
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of one year experience as a Chef/Cook and/or formal culinary training or relevant qualifications
* Experience maintaining food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
* A Food Supervision Certificate or willingness to obtain one
* A current Driver's Licence, First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check and a Police Clearance
* Attention to quality and detail, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
