Protection Sales Engineer, Perth

DIgSILENT Pacific has a subsidiary company representing Finnish protection relay manufacturer Arcteq Oy in the Australian, New Zealand and Pacific region. We are seeking a protection engineer to lead the sales and support activities of Arcteq Pacific based out of Perth. Although separate to DIgSILENT Pacific operations, the successful candidate will be supported by the network of DIgSILENT Pacific offices throughout Australia and will report directly to local company directors. With over 21 years of experience in marketing and supplying protection relays in the region, there is an established client base for Arcteq Pacific to expand from.

Applicants MUST be Australian citizens or permanent residents without any restrictions to work in Australia.
The role covers the following activities:
* Support to clients in matching solutions to their design requirements for conventional protection and arc-protections schemes
* Client Training in the configuration and use of relays
* Support for commissioning and testing activities
* Travel to meet and support clients across national and international locations
* Attendance at conferences and exhibitions promoting Arcteq products
* Factory training in Finland and partner sales meetings

A background in technical sales and support of protection relays. The successful candidate will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
* An analytical and pragmatic approach in problem solving and fault investigations
* Knowledge of IEC and Australian Standards in LV and HV generation, distribution and transmission infrastructure
* A strong technical background in power systems
* An ability to work independently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic approach
* Be able and willing to travel
