About the Role
Children and families across Adelaide's northern suburbs need skilled, grounded advocates in their corner. As a Senior Social Worker embedded within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network's (NALHN) Children and Families Service and Allied Health Unit, you'll bring clinical expertise and sound professional judgement to complex child and family presentations - making a tangible difference at a critical point in people's lives.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing advanced social work assessment, intervention, and case coordination for children and families presenting with complex development and/or psychosocial needs across the northern Adelaide metro area.
* Offering secondary consultation and clinical guidance to multidisciplinary team members, contributing to integrated care pathways in a primary health setting.
* Engaging with child protection frameworks, mandatory reporting obligations, and relevant legislative requirements with confidence and accuracy.
* Actively participating in quality improvement, supervision, and professional practice development within NALHN's social work community.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must possess an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
About You
In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.
