About The Role
The Island Sydney is seeking a talented and innovative Marketing Specialist to develop and execute high‑impact marketing strategies across our brand, events, and hospitality operations. This position plays a key role in driving brand visibility, digital engagement, and revenue growth across both weekend parties and weekday corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
* Conduct market research, analyse data and customer trends, and provide insights to shape promotional strategies.
* Create and manage content calendars, social media campaigns, EDMs, and brand assets.
* Coordinate promotional events, collaborations, partnerships, and venue activations.
* Manage advertising schedules, paid marketing, and media placements to maximise audience reach.
* Evaluate the performance of campaigns using analytics tools and report on ROI and engagement metrics.
* Contribute to branding development, including tone of voice, visual identity consistency, and storytelling for The Island.
* Work closely with internal departments to ensure all marketing output supports operational and commercial goals.
* Oversee the production of promotional materials and ensure alignment with the venue's premium brand positioning.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or brand management.
* Strong understanding of marketing principles, audience segmentation, and brand strategy.
* Experience with social media management, content creation, Adobe/Canva, and digital campaign management.
* Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.
* Excellent communication skills, creativity, and strong attention to detail.
* Experience in hospitality, nightlife, events, or entertainment marketing is highly regarded.
