Our Warana operations support construction activity across the Sunshine Coast region, servicing builders, contractors and trade partners across active building sites and infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to support our Warana construction operations.
This role is focused on managing and growing relationships with builders, site supervisors, contractors and trade customers across active construction projects. Success in the role will come from strong industry knowledge, consultative selling, reliable service delivery and consistent on-site engagement.
You will work closely with branch operations, logistics and estimating teams to ensure product availability, timely delivery and project alignment. Performance will be measured through sales growth, margin performance, customer retention and KPI achievement.
The role includes a fully maintained company vehicle and requires regular site visits.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of builders, contractors and trade customers
* Build strong, long-term relationships through regular site visits and project engagement
* Provide product-led solutions across structural and construction building materials
* Prepare accurate quotes, tenders and sales proposals
* Generate new business through structured territory planning and pipeline development
* Partner closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain project timelines
* Monitor local market activity, competitor movements and project opportunities
About You
To thrive in this role, you'll bring commercial acumen, strong relationship capability and confidence operating within construction environments. You will ideally have:
* Sales or account management experience in building materials or construction supply
* OR a background in construction, carpentry or site supervision looking to transition into a commercial role
* Confidence discussing structural products and site requirements
* Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience managing customer portfolios, quotes and follow-up routines
* High levels of organisation, time management and problem-solving capability
* A proactive, resilient mindset with a solutions-focused approach
* Understanding of WHS requirements within construction environments
* A valid driver's licence
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales or Construction Management are advantageous but not essential.
