The French Teacher (Years 2–6) is responsible for developing students' communication skills, intercultural awareness, and love of learning through the study of language. This part-time (0.6 FTE) role delivers engaging programs that align with both NESA Languages K–10 Syllabus and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
As our French Teacher, you will:
* Design and deliver French programs that promote curiosity, confidence, and global awareness
* Create transdisciplinary connections between French and other subject areas
* Inspire students through inquiry-based, concept-driven learning
* Collaborate with staff to design inclusive and engaging language learning experiences
* Contribute actively to the life of the Preparatory School through co-curricular and community programs
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* NESA-approved teaching qualifications with a focus on Languages (French)
* Experience teaching primary-aged children with the ability to engage and inspire
* Strong knowledge of language pedagogy and assessment practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff
