The NSW Police Force Public Affairs Branch is in need of a media officer, to be based in Sydney.
The media officer will be assigned to process media enquiries, prepare releases and ministerial announcements, and to help organise official activities that promote the Force's reputation. They may also be tasked to observe crime scenes to guide media personnel on the ground about progress of on‐site investigations.
Candidates for the post must be Australian citizens or permanent residents (plus NZ citizens) with extensive experience in journalism/PR and issues management and are capable of intra-state travel and work long hours. They must undergo full background and security clearance checks.
The application packet can only be furnished via the I Work for NSW website. This will comprise a CV, a cover letter no more than two pages long, and two 300-word articles that separately answer two specific Target Questions.
