About the role
JFD Cowan, a leader in manufacturing and part of the JFD Group, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Coordinator to join our team in Beresfield. Reporting to the General Manager and functionally to the Financial Controller this role will be responsible for supporting the financial and administrative functions.
Primary duties include:
General office administration and coordination
Process weekly payroll to meet all employee Award/EBA and compliance requirements for Cowan Manufacturing and answering payroll queries.
General bookkeeping including account reconciliations, Completing month end processes, half and year-end financial reporting requirements and provide assistance during internal and external audits.
Prepare, maintain and file compliance returns including GST, PAYG, superannuation, insurances, etc. and support Australian group activities including financial statement audits and corporate tax returns.
Accounts payable and receivable processing.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Extensive bookkeeping and payroll processing experience
Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge and experience
Experience working with inventory management and job costing
Exceptional communication skills with all levels of staff and strong attention to detail
Strong customer service skills with the ability to liaise with all stakeholders.
Good time management skills, ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
Ability to work autonomously as well as work effectively in a close-knit team
Strong administrative skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel
Approachable and professional with the ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential information
