A dynamic and caring nanny is required to provide exceptional care for two children, a 6-year-old boy and a 3-month-old baby girl in a loving family setting.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, calm, active, energetic, and playful, with the ability to engage in imaginative and sensory play, as well as exploring indoor and outdoor spaces. They should be able to relate to the different age groups, be empathetic, patient, honest, safe, responsible, flexible, and adaptable.
It is essential that the nanny has experience with youth babies and familiarity with both ages. The carer's responsibilities include caring for the children, following their routines, taking them to activities or park/playgrounds, and engaging in age-appropriate activities to assist in their development. They will also be required to drop off/pick up the eldest from school when needed, perform light household duties such as tidying main living areas and surfaces, dishes, children's toys and play areas, laundry, and light meal prep, run errands (occasionally), and work flexibly according to the family's needs.
The working hours are 3 days approximately 15 hours per week, with 2 half-days per week (between Monday and Friday) and 1 weekend morning or afternoon. For example, Monday 12 pm - 6 pm and Thursday 7:30 am – 12:30 pm (flexible). Additionally, either a Saturday or Sunday for half a day e.g., 12 pm - 4 pm or 9 am - 1 pm can be worked. More hours can be offered occasionally, and longer days in the school holidays if the nanny is available.
The family's expectations from their nanny are:
* At least 3 years of experience as a nanny
* Current first aid certificate
* Current Working with Children's Check
* Strong communication skills and English language proficiency
* Fitness, healthiness, and activity level
* Full license and clean driving record (preference for own vehicle though family car can be provided for use)
