**Key Responsibilities**

**Venue Management**
- Assist with ensuring the effective operation of Events.
- Coordinate all match day venue requirements.
- Ensure that accreditation processes and programs are implemented efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensure appropriate signage (warning, directional etc.) is in place for all matches.
- Coordinate staff rosters and additional resources as required.
- Assist with coordinating maintenance and facilities requirements to ensure Allan Border Field is in an excellent state of repair.
- Minimise issues and queries related to accreditation program.
- Assist from time to time in the delivery of International events.

**Events Delivery**
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of venue and event planning to ensure the successful delivery of matches in Queensland in conjunction with Marketing & Corporate Affairs Department.
- Lead and coordinate budgeting process for matches held in QLD
- Conceptualise, budget, and implement planning and logistics for all matches
- Ensure all matches are delivered to the highest standard and without incident
- Communicate and connect with all stakeholders as required to ensure the co-ordination and efficient organisation of matches. This includes but is not limited to; match referee, match officials, opposition team management, curators, emergency services, security, anti-corruption management, event production, and broadcasters
- Implement planning, logístical movements and match/event operations for matches held in regional Queensland
- Ensure that all matches are on-brand and delivered to maximise fan engagement and enjoyment
- Ensure thorough collaboration with cricket operations all stocks and supplies related to the PMOA area have been purchased
- Create event and venue operations documents as required and assist in implementing systems and processes for venue specific international and state cricket operations including event briefs, accreditation processes, season review documents, and event management processes
- Seek feedback and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of cricket operations for BBL and WBBL matches
- Work with Stadiums Queensland / Metricon to deliver world class events and ensure all activations and fan engagement activities are WH&S compliant throughout both the planning and delivery phase
- Ensure the health and safety of players, Queensland Cricket employees, fans and others by proactively completing pre-game safety audits, risk management reports and by managing hazards and risks as they arise
- Work with relevant Commercial and Marketing staff to ensure commercial and revenue opportunities are maximises, including delivery of ticketing, membership, hospitality and sponsorship initiatives
- Work with commercial team on delivering venue signage plans
- Be the main point of contact for all activations and fan engagement activities. This includes but is not limited to concourse activities, The Park (Gabba activity prescient), sponsor activations and activation spaces at Metricon Stadium
- Communicate and work effectively with key event stakeholders to ensure a world class match is produced.
- Liaise with the Partnerships Manager regarding QC sponsorships and sponsor obligations

**Qualifications, **Knowledge & Competencies**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in event/venue management or equivalent relevant experience
- Sound computer skills particularly in word processing, data base and spread sheets
- A demonstrated knowledge of event management practices
- An understanding of WHS principles
- Superior organisational and planning skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to be effective under pressure
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills including
- The ability to delegate and lead staff
- Strong customer relations skills to facilitate a "fans first" approach
- Strong stakeholder communication and relationship management skills

**Experience**
- Experience in a similar role in a similar industry or experience in operations and event administration
- Experience running major events

- The ability to demonstrate initiative and innovative thinking
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
