The Buchan Bush Nursing Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Bush Nurse Centre Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to the Buchan community.
This role combines clinical leadership with operational management, ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of healthcare services in a rural setting.
About the Role
As the Bush Nurse Centre Manager, you will oversee all operational and clinical functions of the Centre, including staff leadership, strategic planning, financial management, quality assurance, and community engagement.
You will work closely with the Board to implement the organisation's strategic plan, foster a positive workplace culture, and maintain accreditation standards while meeting the healthcare needs of the community.
The anticipated start date for this role is mid‑May 2026.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management: Provide strategic direction, lead staff, develop business plans, monitor programs, and advise the Board on organisational performance and risks.
Clinical Oversight: Maintain clinical standards, oversee patient care, monitor outcomes, and implement quality and safety initiatives.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the Bush Nursing Centre externally, foster relationships with stakeholders, and support community health and wellbeing initiatives.
Visiting Services Coordination: Maintain sustainable partnerships with visiting service providers and optimise care delivery.
Financial Management: Develop budgets, ensure compliance, and manage resources efficiently.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory, governance, and healthcare standards, promote continuous improvement, and maintain risk management systems.

Requirements AHPRA Registered Nurse Division 1 with eligibility under the Bush Nursing EA 2024.
Minimum 5 years' full-time post‑graduate experience in a diverse clinical setting.
RAN Nurse Training required, or willing to complete RAN Training.
Proven leadership and management experience in a clinical setting.
Strong understanding of healthcare delivery in rural and remote communities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, events, and remote site visits.
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
