About the Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is not a back-office role. You will combine technical expertise with commercial insight, partnering with senior leaders and operational teams to support performance, strategy, and process improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing monthly financial reporting with clear, actionable commentary
* Managing balance sheets, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets
* Ensuring statutory compliance (BAS, FBT, TPAR)
* Supporting budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis with operational teams
* Contributing to process improvements, systems development, and ad-hoc projects
This is a role for someone who enjoys both numbers and people, is confident in presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders, and wants to be part of shaping a business's financial strategy.
About You
You are a motivated, intelligent, and commercially-minded finance professional with the presence and communication skills to influence and engage with senior leadership.
* CPA or CA qualified (or near completion)
* 3+ years' experience as a Financial Accountant, or a first mover from Big 4/Mid-Tier
* Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
* Advanced Excel; ERP experience highly regarded
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Proactive, confident, and capable of delivering insight beyond the numbers
