Senior Policy Consultant
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Consultant to join our team.
* This is a challenging and rewarding role that will see you working closely with key stakeholders to deliver integrated, strategic, and high-quality policy advice.
About the Role:
1. Develop and support the development of complex policy proposals for senior stakeholders.
2. Advise on policy matters, including constitutional, electoral, criminal justice, human rights, integrity, accountability, and transparency systems.
3. Demonstrate expertise in statutory interpretation and provide strategic advice on complex policy issues under tight timelines.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor, or equivalent legal qualification conferred by a university in a common law jurisdiction.
* Admitted to practice as an Australian lawyer and hold a Victorian practising certificate.
* Experience as a government lawyer, in developing legislation or legislative instruments, or as a lawyer in the private sector.
