The Opportunity
The Fitter is responsible for completing all fitting works on time, in full, and to standard, with a focus on continuous improvement. The role also involves maintaining safety standards and a clean, organized work environment.
What's involved
* Performing fitting and general tasks as directed, following supplied Work Pack / Job Tickets.
* Inspecting, testing, and servicing onboard mechanical systems.
* Measuring, analyzing, and recording critical data during refurbishment works.
* Completing tasks within specified time frames; notifying supervisors if delays occur.
You'll need
* Trade Qualification: Fitter & Turner, Machinist, Diesel Fitter (Heavy), or Mechanical Fitter.
* Marine experience.
* Experience in marine refit/repair or heavy industry.
* Ability to perform high-risk work such as confined space and working at heights.
* Capability to perform work safely and effectively.
* Proficiency with standard tools and equipment related to the trade.
* White Card, First Aid, and EWP certifications.
* Experience in Heavy Industrial, Marine, or Ship repair sectors.
