We are looking for a proactive Regional Safety Coordinator to develop and deliver safety programs and initiatives that comply with relevant legislation and company policies. Reporting to the Regional Health and Safety Manager ANZ, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Legislative Knowledge:
Maintain a thorough understanding of current health and safety legislation, standards, and requirements. Advisory Role:
Provide guidance to employees and supervisors on health and safety legislation and standards. Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure adherence to the company's health and safety program and relevant legislation. Collaborative Communication:
Work with various stakeholders to effectively communicate all aspects of the health and safety program. Policy and Procedure Advice:
Advise on health and safety program policies, procedures, and legislation. Meeting Coordination:
Ensure health and safety committee meetings and toolbox talks are conducted as required. Claims Management:
Oversee the claims management and rehabilitation scheme (WorkCover & RTWSA) to achieve efficient and effective results. Incident Management:
Coach and educate managers and employees on handling health and safety incidents, near misses, and hazards. Incident Evaluation:
Support managers in investigating incidents and collaborate to identify and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:Educational Background:
Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety or a related field, with practical experience in agriculture, construction, or similar industries.Advisory Expertise:
Proven ability to provide health and safety advice across all organisational levels.Legislative Knowledge:
Strong understanding of relevant Health and Safety LegislationRelationship Building:
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Communication Skills:
Excellent written communication skills for report writing, policy development, and documentation.Customer Service Focus:
Commitment to delivering quality customer service outcomes.Analytical Skills:
