We're looking for a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to lead the implementation of high‐quality education, orientation, and training programs at Western Health. This senior opportunity is available in a full‐time, permanent capacity.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Pharmacy Education Team to assist the Lead Pharmacy Technician and other Senior Pharmacy Technicians in planning and implementing education, orientation, and training programs for pharmacy technicians.
* Supervise the pharmacy technician team and provide routine supervision.
* Participate in projects that develop pharmacy technician services in accordance with accreditation and legislative requirements.
* Perform routine pharmacy technician duties as required.
* Assist with the production of aseptic and non‐sterile products (including cytotoxic and biohazardous preparations) within a functioning cleanroom.
* Co‐ordinate Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme claims.
Qualifications
* Holder of a Certificate IV in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent (or working towards).
* Minimum of four years full‐time experience as a qualified hospital pharmacy technician.
* Completion of VCE or equivalent.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience supervising and coordinating staff.
* Commitment to customer service, responding willingly and pleasantly to customer enquiries.
* Teamwork skills.
* Experience implementing continuous quality improvement processes.
* Demonstrated initiative and motivation.
* Capacity to prioritize responsibilities and meet time constraints.
* General computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation applications.
