Seeking a Program Director for Sydney-based Big 4 Bank that are going through a large-scale technology transformation. You will take ownership to ensure that the technology and data changes do not impact financial crime monitoring and detection.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Extensive experience leading complex, cross-divisional programs within banking
- Strong understanding of data, technology and business
- Proven ability to work with and present to senior executives (CFO, CRO, and Board level)
- Exposure to financial crime (highly regarded, but not essential)
- Strong Leadership skills - managing a team of delviery professionals
- Stong Agile experience
Core responsibilities include:
- Mobilise and lead cross-functional teams to execute an end-to-end transformation agenda.
- Drive adoption of new technologies to uplift operational performance
- Lead people and operating model transformation through capability uplift, new ways of working, and cultural change
- Review regular status reporting to ensure it is pitched at the appropriate level and covers key details for escalation.
- Lead Executive reporting
- Lead a team to analyse the data collected, across large complex multi-stream projects/programs, to evaluate the effectiveness of a solution, and the value it provides to the business.
- Identify, select, and manage resources as part of a consolidated resource model that considers required capability, hybrid functions, spans of control and seniority as part of its design for multi stream, large and/or complex projects/programs; ability to coach others.
- Optimise resource allocation to minimise non-productive time, by using a shared resource model across multi stream, large and/or complex projects/programs; ability to coach others.
- Proactively manage and mitigate delivery risk for large and/or complex projects/programs, manage inherent risk where risk resolution is not viable; ability to coach others.
- Proactively manage and mitigate operational risk for impacts for large and/or complex projects/programs, establishing ongoing controls where risk resolution is not viable; ability to coach others.
- Comply with the group governance processes, to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of their role in delivery and that the required decision making, and escalation processes are in place to help achieve the required outcome.
- Undertake costs and benefits estimation for large and/or complex projects/programs, including the ability to identify actionable insights, cost optimisation and coach others in financial management practices.
- Accurately forecast project costs and benefits for multi-stream, large and/or complex projects/programs; enabling timely reviews to ensure ongoing investment remains viable, identifying actionable insights; ability to coach others.
- Manage project perks and costs against budget, within policy; identifying actionable insights to optimise P&L; impacts and future spend for large and/or complex projects/programs; ability to coach others
- Lead commercial arrangements and associated KPI's & SLA’s.
- Establishing supplier relationships and strategic alliances, improving the process for managing the supplier against agreed performance metrics and internal satisfaction ratings and supplier underperformance.
- Management of diverse stakeholder expectations, across different business divisions in partnership with senior stakeholders to assist in the delivery of business strategies and objectives.
- Consult and act as a trusted advisor across stakeholder engagement at the most senior levels, supporting the full spectrum of conversations for multi stream, large or complex projects.
The role will commence as 12 month fixed term contract and will pay circa $250K + super + significant bonus (total package circa $330K)
