The role of a Manager, Office of the Senior Director is to provide strategic advice and support to senior executives within a large complex public sector organisation. This involves supporting the executive with key operational functions and undertaking a lead role in planning, initiating, developing, evaluating, and managing projects/programs of work that align to organisational objectives.
As a Manager, you will work collaboratively to build and maintain strong relationships with other areas within the healthcare department, ensuring consultation, operations, and strategic direction are aligned.
One of your key responsibilities will be to manage and facilitate responses to complex and sensitive requests from the office of the Senior Director, other executive officers, and Deputy Director-General. You will ensure resolution of issues to completion and a successful outcome is achieved.
Additionally, you will manage key relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders across the agency, coordinate responses to correspondence, briefs, reports, and submissions, and implement efficient processes to support operations.
This role requires excellent communication skills, including written and verbal skills, as well as good team building and networking skills. Experience in leading and managing support functions for a division with a decentralised business model for operational areas is also essential.
