About the Role We are seeking Road Workers to join a regional maintenance team based in Gundagai. In this hands-on role, you will support the upkeep and repair of road infrastructure, helping to ensure safe and reliable transport networks for the local community. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will undertake a variety of maintenance activities, including responding to planned works and emergency call-outs when required. Position: Road Worker Pay Rate: $43.91 per hour plus superannuation Location: Gundagai, NSW Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until 4 September 2026 Hours: 76 Hours Per Fortnight Tickets Required: White Card, Traffic Control (TCR IMP), Worker's on Foot (WOF) and Driver's Licence Key Responsibilities Carry out road maintenance and repair works across the network. Operate hand tools, power tools and minor plant equipment safely. Complete pothole repairs, signage maintenance and guardrail works. Assist with traffic control and emergency call-outs as required. Conduct site clean-up, rubbish collection and corridor maintenance. Follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions, report hazards and support team operations. About You Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, labouring or a similar field-based role. Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Reliable, adaptable and willing to participate in after-hours call-outs. Mandatory Requirements: White Card (Construction Induction Card). Current Work on Foot (WOF) certificate or willingness to obtain before commencement Current Traffic Control tickets Current C Class Driver Licence or higher. Must reside within reasonable proximity to Gundagai. Ability to successfully complete and pass a National Police Check and reference checks Valid Australian working rights with no sponsorship available for this position.
