Grounds Maintenance Officer
Catherine McAuley Westmead is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Officer to join their collaborative team on a Temporary Full-time basis commencing in Term 1, 2025.

Our school is a welcoming, safe and innovative learning community offering a comprehensive education for girls from Years 7 to 12 in the Mercy tradition.
Responsibilities
- Respond to all college facility related issues including minor repairs and general maintenance requirements
- Keep grounds and buildings presentable, clean, safe and usable for students and staff
- Lift and move equipment and furniture
- Set up for college events
- Supervise and coordinate contractors as required
- Occasional garden and lawn maintenance
- Work with livestock on the college's agriculture plot
- Observe and implement WHS policies and practices
About You
- Must hold a current driver's licence
- Have demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Have demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines
- Have demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel
- Have excellent communications skills
- The successful applicant will be required to undertake a pre‑employment health assessment
- LF forklift licence desirable but not necessary
Requirements
- A current resume and cover letter addressing the position criteria
- Qualification transcripts and skilled experience reports (if applicable)
- Three nominated professional referees
A Relevant Trade Qualification Is Desirable
We welcome a relevant trade qualification, but it is not necessary.
