We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Testing Architect (ElL2 )to join a federal department and play a key role in transforming and maturing our enterprise testing capability. This role will lead the development of best practice automation frameworks, tooling, and metrics to support faster, higher quality delivery across the organisation.
About the Role
Contract opportunity -12 months with 2 extensions
Australian citizen with Baseline security clearance
Work locations : Brisbane, Canberra & Sydney
You will be responsible for designing and delivering an agency wide test automation capability, including frameworks, strategy, operating models, standards, tool selection, configuration, validation, and proof of concept activities. You will also establish a comprehensive test and defect metrics capability using PowerBI across multiple products and technologies. The role includes advanced administration and configuration of test and defect management tools, along with knowledge transfer and ongoing refinement based on delivery team feedback.
What You Bring
You have a minimum of five years' experience as a Test Architect with strong expertise in automation, metrics, and tooling.
You bring a solid technical background across mission critical systems, cloud environments, and large databases such as Oracle.
You hold certification and practical experience in CMMi or TMMi and have strong configuration experience with Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira, ServiceNow, and PowerBI.
You also have broad experience across automation tools including TestComplete, Tosca, UFT, Selenium, Postman, Cucumber, SoapUI, and RPA or AI based tools.
Experience with ISO9001, ITSM, or SIAM, along with a degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field, will be highly regarded.
