About the Company

We are a national children's clothing retailer with 46 stores across Australia and an expanding e-commerce presence. We design, produce and retail high-quality childrenswear and accessories for babies, toddlers and kids. Our head office supports all aspects of retail operations, including product development, merchandising, logistics, marketing, and store operations.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Assistant to join our Head Office team and work closely with the management team across a wide range of business functions. This role provides exceptional exposure to company operations and offers the right candidate a unique opportunity to learn and grow within the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with day-to-day operational coordination across 46 retail stores nationwide
* Support retail performance activities including sales reporting, stock levels, store communications and replenishment
* Assist with seasonal launches, store openings, relocations and fit-outs
* Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams on dispatches, deliveries, stock allocations and critical timelines
* Work closely with design, buying and merchandising teams on product lifecycle and seasonal assortments
* Support marketing and promotional activities including campaign coordination and store execution
* Prepare reports, presentations, meeting notes and business correspondence for the management team
* Communicate with Area Managers and Store Managers regarding operational updates, schedules and priorities
* Assist with vendor and supplier coordination (shopfitters, couriers, packaging, marketing, etc.)
* Participate in workflow improvements and problem-solving across the business
* Contribute to e-commerce functions including product uploads, stock integrations and customer service (where required)

Requirements

* Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Fashion, Supply Chain, or a related field
* Minimum 1 year experience in the fashion retail industry (Head Office or Store level experience will be considered)
* Strong interest in learning retail operations, supply chain and product lifecycle
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
* Positive work attitude, eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new responsibilities
