Planning and Resource Management Position
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a newly established Automated Distribution Centre. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the commissioning process for our second ADC, which will leverage cutting-edge technology to modernise our Supply Chain.
The ADC will be located in Kemps Creek, New South Wales, and will utilise state-of-the-art facilities to deliver exceptional service level fulfilment to our stores. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enabling day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing labour resource plans and proposing effective shift pattern solutions to meet the operational requirements of the ADC.
* Actively managing and developing the Workforce Management Tool to streamline labour management and monitor key performance indicators.
* Monitoring the impact of automation downtime, productivity, and staff attendance trends, and adjusting labour plans accordingly to minimise disruptions to service levels.
* Regularly reviewing workload trends and adjusting planning logic to ensure optimal efficiency.
* Providing leadership support, direction, and technical expertise to ADC team members in all aspects of labour and resource management.
* Fostering a work environment that promotes operational excellence, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and safe working practices.
Requirements
* Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in logistics, automated distribution, or manufacturing environments.
* Demonstrated analytical skills and understanding of statistical process control.
* Experience working with teams in complex DC environments, preferably within retail or FMCG.
* Strong communication skills, including influence and negotiation with external stakeholders.
* Extensive experience in Warehouse Management Systems, rostering processes, labour management systems, engineered labour standards, and Industrial Instruments and Supply Chain Awards.
* Strong commercial acumen and focus on key performance metrics.
* Continuous improvement/LEAN six Sigma Training and experience required.
* Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management or similar highly desirable.
