Copper City Hotel Motel, located in Cobar, NSW, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel and Motel Manager to join its team on a full-time basis. Copper City Hotel Motel is a well-established regional hospitality business offering comfortable accommodation, genuine country service, and convenient access to the heart of Cobar. The property features a range of guest accommodation options set across spacious, well-maintained grounds and is positioned close to the town centre, making it a popular choice for travellers, workers, and visitors to the region. The business also offers hotel and dining facilities, creating an all-round hospitality experience for guests. Copper City Hotel Motel forms part of the Out of the Ordinary Outback Group, a broader tourism and accommodation group operating across Outback New South Wales and focused on delivering memorable, authentic visitor experiences with quality service and true outback hospitality. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who can lead day-to-day operations, maintain high service standards, and contribute to the continued success of a regional accommodation and hotel venue.

Role: Hotel and Motel Manager at Copper City Hotel Motel – Cobar, NSW

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the daily operation of the motel and hotel to ensure smooth, efficient and customer-focused service delivery across all departments.
* Coordinate front office, reservations, guest check-in and check-out processes to ensure a welcoming and professional guest experience.
* Manage housekeeping functions and accommodation presentation to maintain cleanliness, comfort and quality standards throughout guest rooms and common areas.
* Supervise food, beverage, bar and function operations, ensuring service quality, operational efficiency and a positive guest experience.
* Monitor room occupancy, forward bookings and revenue opportunities, and assist in strategies to maximise accommodation and venue performance.
* Ensure the property, grounds, facilities and general presentation of the business are maintained to a high standard, including organising repairs, upkeep and routine maintenance.
* Oversee site safety, security procedures and operational controls to protect guests, staff, stock and business assets.
* Ensure the business operates in accordance with relevant legislation, including liquor licensing, gaming requirements where applicable, workplace health and safety obligations, and other hospitality-related compliance requirements.
* Review guest feedback, monitor service outcomes and implement improvements to strengthen customer satisfaction and repeat business.
* Supervise purchasing, stock control and supply arrangements for accommodation, bar, restaurant and operational requirements.
* Assist in monitoring budgets, daily tasks, expense control, invoices and general administrative processes to support sound financial management.
* Recruit, train, roster and supervise staff, fostering a productive, service-driven and team-oriented workplace culture.
* Support the planning and coordination of functions, group bookings, meetings and special events held at the venue.
* Provide guests with helpful information about local attractions, services and travel options to enhance their overall stay and regional experience.
* Liaise with management, contractors, suppliers and team members to ensure operational standards and business objectives are consistently achieved.
* Drive continuous improvements in guest service, presentation, workflow efficiency and team performance across the business.

Skills and Experience Required:

* At least 1 year of relevant experience in hospitality, hotel, motel or venue management.
* Relevant qualifications at the level of AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma.

Salary and Conditions:

* Approximately 38 hours per week Full-time position
* Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
