About The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Accurately pricing large-scale electrical projects based on tender documentation and drawings
* Preparing detailed take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender submissions
* Interpreting plans, specifications, and consultant documentation with meticulous attention to detail
* Assessing project risk, labor costing, procurement, and subcontractor pricing
* Managing multiple tenders simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines
* Collaborating closely with project delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from tender to construction
* Utilizing estimating software and technology effectively in your daily tasks
* Engaging in negotiations and maintaining professional communication with suppliers and clients
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in electrical estimating within the commercial and/or industrial sector
* A strong understanding of Australian Standards, electrical systems, and construction methodologies
* Proficiency with estimating software such as Simpro, Accubid, Groundplan, Bluebeam, or similar
* Experience in Defense, government, education, healthcare, or large commercial projects is highly regarded
* A current Australian driver's license and an electrical trade qualification (preferred)
