The Station: Jubilee Downs Station stretches across 220,000 hectares in the West Kimberley, an hour south or 90km from Fitzroy Crossing. Half the property is black soil river frontage, and the other half is red pindan. The Jubilee homestead is right on the Cunningham River and bordering the Fitzroy River and the property also has two out stations. Jubilee is running 11,500 head of beautiful high quality Droughtmaster cattle. The Opportunity: We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a versatile Station Cook to join our tight-knit team and ensure our hard-working team at Jubilee Downs Station are fed healthy and hearty meals. This is not a FIFO role. You will provide a key role and will take pride in your work, enjoy working with a small team and running a tight and hygienic operation. A can-do attitude and the ability to jump in and do whatever is required to get the job done is essential, you will be at times asked to help around the homestead. You do not need experience, just a love for country living, cooking, and baking. *Please note: Kitchen prep and dining area is fully air-conditioned. Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia. Dogs are not permitted. Vehicle recommended for personal use (must be an AWD). Key responsibilities include: Pre-planning and cooking nutritious, hearty meals for the station team including breakfast, smoko, lunch and dinner. Observing pantry stock, reporting any issues to management Maintaining hygiene across the site and ensure highest level of cleanliness is maintained On occasions prepping visitors’ accommodation as required. Our ideal candidate will have: Excellent time management and organisation skills. Including meal plans and food ordering. High level of hygiene and safety standards. Great communication skills. Excellent team player. Ability to work independently and able to adapt to change easily. Proactive, positive, energetic attitude, ability to make the kitchen the 'heart' of the station. Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment. Suitable fitness level to carry out required tasks. Current Manual driver's licence. What’s in it for you?
