 
        
        Senior Accounts Payable Officer Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to manage the end-to-end accounts payable process for timely processing of government grants and vendor payments. This role involves ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Manage the full function of accounts payable, including processing government grants and vendor payments
 * E nsure adherence to financial policies and procedures to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency
 * Oversee the management of over 150 monthly office lease rentals across the business
 * Be an integral part of an accounts payable automation project to improve processes and efficiency
 * Contribute to smooth and effective month-end and year-end close
Qualifications and Skills:
 * Proven experience in a dedicated accounts payable role, preferably in a medium to large organisation
 * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or other large ERP accounting systems is advantageous
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
 * Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or related field is desirable
A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory prior to commencement. Successful candidates must be able to set up a secure account to access Government data aligned to the role.
Requirements for Success:
 * Minimum of five years of experience in a dedicated accounts payable position
 * Hands-on experience with AP financial systems
 * Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and solid understanding of accounting principles
 * Proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
