About the Opportunity
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our Community. To support this work, we are seeking an enthusiastic Education Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, values variety, and can be flexible and responsive to changing priorities. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community education and keen to support a broad range of programs and activities across environmental, sustainability and road safety themes. This is a casual position and work hours vary according to project and organisational needs. Flexibility is required, including occasional evening and weekend work.
A typical shift in this role might include tasks such as:
* Helping set up and pack down at community events and pop-up stalls
* Engaging with community members at events and activities on a variety of environmental and road safety topics
* Supporting the lead facilitator in preparing for and delivering school and community workshops
* Supporting Council tour guides to conduct facility tours
* Office duties such as preparing program materials, packing and organising equipment and resources, and collating reporting data
* Working with the Education team on program debriefs and process improvements
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Casual
Salary: Casual rate $41.70 per hour including casual loading
Superannuation: 12%
