Assistant Duty Manager
Expanding Hospitality Group | Multiple Venues
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of an emerging hospitality group as they expand their portfolio of contemporary, experience driven venues. This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Duty Manager who enjoys leading from the floor and supporting smooth venue operations during service.
Working closely with the Venue Managers, you will be a key support during each shift, helping lead the front of house team and ensuring the guest experience remains consistent, professional, and high quality during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities
Venue Operations
• Assist with opening and closing the venue in line with procedures
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organised service areas
• Support the flow of service and resolve operational issues during shifts
• Maintain a visible floor presence during peak periods
• Ensure RSA, licensing, and venue policies are followed at all times
Staff Leadership
• Support, direct, and motivate the FOH team during service
• Delegate tasks and reinforce service standards
• Provide real time coaching and feedback
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
Customer Experience
• Act as a point of contact for guest enquiries or issues
• Support the management of bookings, large groups, and in venue functions
• Maintain a calm, professional, guest focused approach
Cash and Compliance
• Assist with tills, cash handling, and end of shift reporting
• Complete compliance, safety, and cleaning checks
• Escalate incidents, maintenance issues, or staff concerns appropriately
Coordination and Communication
• Liaise with kitchen teams, DJs, performers, security, and suppliers
• Work closely with Venue and Operations Managers to prepare each shift
• Record and communicate operational feedback
Skills and Experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a busy bar or restaurant
• Strong communication skills and confidence supporting teams on the floor
• Solid understanding of RSA, liquor licensing, and compliance requirements
• Ability to stay organised and composed in fast paced service environments
• High level of personal presentation
• Current RSA certificate and RP badge
• Experience with Kounta, Tyro, and Nowbookit highly regarded
