This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata'd to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

Far West Local Health District has a unique opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team as a virtual pharmacist. This role will provide clinical pharmacy services to patients in the Remote Health Services as well as Broken Hill Hospital.

What you'll be doing
* Providing clinical pharmacy services via telehealth to inpatients across the Far West Local Health District, including reviewing patients and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team
* Assisting with district-wide quality improvement activities and educational sessions.
* Maintaining and growing relationships with local teams and contracted medical services

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.
* Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy, with current general registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated effective clinical drug knowledge and competence in its application to achieve safe and efficient person-centred care, including the delivery of education to both staff and patients.
* Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and other stakeholders to improve patient care and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
* Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
* Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
* Proven commitment to professional development, continuing education, quality improvement and pharmacy research, including membership of a professional pharmacy assocation.
