The Georges River College Hurstville Campus is a dynamic learning environment focused on catering to the needs of students in Years 7-10.
With an enrolment of 280 students and over 86% Non-English-Speaking Background, our campus collaborates with other GRC campuses to provide students with diverse opportunities for growth and development.
We prioritize Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) to foster respect, responsibility, and excellence among all school activities. Our range of co-curricular programs complements classroom learning, enhancing student engagement and motivation.
The Support Unit offers classes for students with autism spectrum disorder, providing a supportive environment for their learning journey.
Our dedicated staff are committed to academic excellence and student wellbeing, employing evidence-based pedagogical practices to achieve collective efficacy across the campus.
High Impact Professional learning continually strengthens teacher practice, ensuring our teaching staff remain at the forefront of education.
We are transitioning to a co-educational setting, starting with Years 7 and 8 from 2025 and including Years 9 and 10 from 2026, creating new opportunities for students to grow and learn together.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Approval to teach Library (Secondary) or currently undertaking Secondary qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
* Developed interpersonal skills to build strong, respectful relationships across the campus.
* Able to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
* Capacity to lead the library as a hub for innovation, information literacy, and contemporary learning.
