At voco Gosford, we’ll cater to both business and leisure guests, as well as provide a swanky new destination for locals to meet.
We’re looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to work closely with our Executive Housekeeper to uphold our high standards, overseeing all aspects of housekeeping to ensure each guest enjoys a memorable and exceptional experience with every stay. As our Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness, presentation, and overall quality of guest rooms and public areas exceed expectations, whilst assisting in the training, development and performance of the Housekeeping team.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our team during the pre-opening phase of a new hotel, that will look to be the changing face of the Central Coast.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
●Assisting our Executive Housekeeper to manage, coach, and develop a high performing team dedicated to exceptional housekeeping standards
●Handling complaints and special requests to keep every guest happy
●Checking that public areas, rooms, suites, equipment, and linen exceed guest expectations
●Report any work health and safety concerns
●Assisting with deep cleaning projects
●Assist with maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment – while minimising waste – in support of our green initiatives
●Addressing special requests for guests, VIPs, repeat visitors and VIP Club members
●Keep track of employee time and attendance
●Regular room checking after attendants finalise
●Reporting
●Work closely and communicates clearly with the Front Office team
●Work closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure all required training is up to date
●Always greet every guest with a warm welcoming approach
●Comply with all policies and procedures and ensure all team members comply also
What we need from you
●Higher education qualification/equivalent in hospitality or related field preferred but not essential
●Must be able to speak local language(s).
●Excellent communication and strong interpersonal strong skills
●Supervisory experience over a Housekeeping/catering team, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
●4+ years total experience in a Housekeeping/catering setting or related field
