We seek a highly motivated Industrial Electrician who can adapt to changing priorities, work well with others, and demonstrate the ability to work independently. The role involves ensuring equipment reliability and availability, with work schedules that may include shifts up to 12 hours, nights, and weekends.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at the Iron Ore Company of Canada, your responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently
2. Adhering to IOC safety standards and promoting safe work behaviors
3. Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-maintained work environment
4. Managing the operation, maintenance, and control of equipment to meet production targets safely and efficiently
5. Reporting safety and process issues to supervisors
6. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to resolve work area issues
7. Challenging existing work practices to improve safety and efficiency

What you'll bring
* A strong commitment to safety
* Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial "Industrial" Electrician trade qualification
* Valid Class 5 driver's license
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Excellent troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment
* Flexibility in work approaches
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to contribute ideas for workplace improvement
If hired, you may need to undergo a PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition) to determine your placement within the Newfoundland and Labrador Industrial Journeyperson program, especially if you are not already a certified Industrial Electrical Journeyperson (Red Seal). The assessment is conducted by the Government Apprenticeship Office after you start at IOC.
