About the role
Reporting to the Head of Legal - Property and based onsite at the Homebush West Corporate Office, you will be involved in a broad range of property legal matters, including retail, commercial and industrial leasing throughout Australia, as well as other related property matters. You will provide comprehensive support for commercial leasing transactions and related property support, as well as administrative and secretarial support.
This role will support the Company's global property portfolio, valued at $4.4 billion, in close collaboration with the In-House Property Legal Team.
About you
You'll either hold a Certificate in Legal Studies, an equivalent qualification, or have completed an accredited paralegal program. Ideally, you will have at least four years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal team within Australia. A background in property law, gained from a well-regarded law firm, is essential to thrive in this role.
You will also have;
* Knowledge of Retail Leases Act as it applies to each state and territory throughout Australia.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
* In depth understanding and application of legal professional responsibilities.
* Skilled in PEXA, Microsoft Office, and a range of general computer tools and systems.
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure.
