This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Australia’s most respected and awarded private companies, servicing commercial and infrastructure projects for the provision of patented electrical products. Our client specialises in the wholesaler and distribution of technical product, whilst providing local and reliable technical support to the customer, a service that sets them apart from their competitors.
**About the role**
Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for;
- Provide support to the Purchasing Lead
- Forecasting and following up product requirements
- Replenishing stock on hand
- Data entry and QA for goods inwards receipts
- Build relationships with suppliers
- Provide ad-hoc support to the logistics and planning manager
**About you**
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Purchasing
- Strong negotiation skills
- Robust sourcing skills
- Process oriented with an eye for detail
- Driven and self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent telephone manner and good communication skills
- Sound computer skills (MS Office)
- Team player willing to be cross trained in other purchasing team
