About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
* Author and review complex strategic procurement and contracting documentation using the ASDEFCON suite, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks and Defence quality standards.
* Provide commercial advice in relation to commercially sensitive reports, submissions, and other documents as required.
* Analyse, identify and develop mitigation strategies for the risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance, and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
* Translate and apply legal principles, legislative and policy compliance obligations, commercial risk and performance requirements related to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
* Coordinate and provide procurement advice, assistance, products and services to facilitate risk management, ethics and probity.
About You:
* You will have strong knowledge and application of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, commercial principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting within Defence or the Commonwealth.
* Experience working within a commercial team in a complex environment to deliver outcomes on time and to a high level of quality.
* You will have expertise to support complex procurement activities, including development of solicitation documentation (statements of work and statements of requirement) and the review and evaluation of responses to market approaches.
* An understanding of the Foreign Military Sales process and the comparative benefits, risk, limitations and constraints of this commercial approach.
* Experience developing contracting correspondence, including complex, commercially sensitive reports, submissions, contract change proposals and other documents as required.
