Leadership Opportunity in Retail Management
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced retail professional to join our leadership team as an Assistant Store Manager. The successful candidate will have a flair for leadership, excellent communication skills, and a love for delivering exceptional customer experiences. They will also possess extensive experience in the fresh food department, including ordering, stocktakes, merchandising, inventory control, managing promotional displays, ensuring stock rotation and freshness, and leading a team to meet sales and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee multiple departments and play a key part in shaping the future of our store
* Develop and implement effective strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
* Maintain high levels of product freshness and quality
* Manage and motivate a team to achieve sales and presentation targets
* Ensure accurate and efficient ordering, stocktakes, and inventory control processes
Requirements:
* Minimum 2+ years of team leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment
* Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills
* Extensive experience in the fresh food department, especially produce
* Ability to work full-time on an agreed roster across our span of trading hours, including some early and late shifts, and alternate weekends
