The Opportunity
Bielby is currently experiencing a period of sustained growth and strategic expansion. To support this momentum, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager. The role is to join an established main roads project team and master our systems and processes, with a clear pathway to lead the commercial function on a future major project.
What You'll Do
* Own the project's financial health.
* Act as the primary advisor on all commercial matters.
* Proactively identify and manage commercial and financial risks.
* You will lead, mentor, and develop your commercial resources, ensuring they have the technical and commercial acumen to meet project requirements.
What You'll Bring
* A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, Commerce, or Accounting.
* 10+ years of experience in commercial and contract administration within the construction or engineering sectors.
* Deep expertise in claims management, subcontract terms, and financial forecasting.
* Strong people management skills with a natural ability to mentor staff and engage effectively with high-level stakeholders.
* The ability to multitask and remain composed under the pressure of major project delivery.
