Job Description
The Intervention Worker will be the first point of contact for young people aged 12-25 who reach out to us for help. The role involves delivering brief interventions and coordinating care for mild to moderate mental health concerns. You will also conduct comprehensive assessments and build collaborative action plans with young people and their families.
In this role, you will work within a multidisciplinary team and offer support through centre-based, outreach, or telehealth services. You will also be part of community engagement and youth-led initiatives.
Requirements
* Degree qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Services, or Mental Health Nursing
* Registration as a Mental Health Counsellor or Psychotherapist (ACA Level 3+ or equivalent), or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical mental health field
* Skills in assessment, risk management, and therapeutic interventions
* Natural ability to connect and communicate with young people
* Understanding of trauma-informed care and passion for early intervention
* Current driver's license and Blue Card (QLD)
